Participants are judged based on their knowledge and suggestions about a wide variety of agricultural topics and issues.
The Discussion Meet helps build basic discussion skills, develops a keen understanding of important agricultural issues and explores how groups can pool knowledge to reach consensus and solve problems.

The 2025 YF&R Discussion Meet questions can be found HERE. These questions will be used at our 105th Nevada Farm Bureau Annual Meeting this November 6th through the 9th in Fallon, Nevada.
Young Farmers & Ranchers focuses mainly on spreading agricultural literacy throughout communities by helping educate elementary school children around Nevada, donating books and other materials to schools and working with the Nevada Department of Agriculture, the University of Nevada, Reno Collegiate FFA program and numerous volunteers.
Harvest for All is a year-round food drive ran by the Young Farmers & Ranchers committee. Throughout the year, farmers and ranchers across the United States donate time, money and food to local Feeding America affiliates and other food banks.
Since the program’s creation, YF&R committees across the country have provided more than 83 million meal equivalents to American families. In 2023, Nevada YF&R committees volunteered 323 hours, donated $4,00 and collected 1305 pounds of food for the Harvest for All program.
The County who donates the most food is awarded the golden pitchfork. This is a great opportunity to get involved and help end hunger
