Interested in grazing management processes and strategies for riparian-wetland areas? The National Riparian Service Team and the Bureau of Land Management NV state office are sponsoring a training-taking place August 22 through August 24th.
This is an excellent opportunity for permittees, agency personnel, and others who are involved with planning, managing, or evaluating riparian grazing systems. The objective of the course is to build an understanding of the tools, concepts and thought processes relative to livestock grazing riparian areas.
Instructors of the training course include Sandy Wyman, Rangeland Management Specialist, National Riparian Service Team (NRST); Sherm Swanson, UNR Riparian & Range Extension Specialist; John McCann, Hydrologist, USFS; and TBD.
The class will be held at the Winnemucca Convention Center 50 W Winnemucca BLVD, Winnemucca, NV 89445. The training course is free to attendees, but attendance will be limited to 50 people.
